About A+ certification

A+ is the most popular

A+ Certification is the most popular IT certification in the world with over two million having succeeded at this exam. The two main reasons for its large following is:

1) It is an entry-level credential and so applies to a lot of people, especially new entrants into the IT field.

2) It is vendor-neutral and so does not limit you to one manufacturer but rather gets you ready for the IT professional’s role.

A+ Prerequisites

A candidate needs to pass two exams in order to obtain the CompTIA A+ credential. The second exam is CompTIA A+ Core 2 Exam number 220-1002 – click here for A+ 220-1001 exam objectives. The CompTIA A+ 220-1002 exam tests you for the competencies typically expected of an entry-level IT professional with at least 12 months of hands-on experience in the lab or the field. If you don’t have 12 months experience on the job, CompTIA states that the equivalent knowledge acquired through training will be sufficient.
