MCSA Exam 70-410: Installing and Configuring Windows Server 2012 R2

The 70-410 exam is the first step towards an “MCSA Server Infrastructure”. This exam is for the Windows 2012 Server track. MCSA stands for Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate and is the first level of Microsoft certification.

The 70-410 exam certification is a vendor specific certification (Microsoft being the vendor…) in contrast to the vendor neutral IT certifications as offered by CompTIA such as A+, Network+ and Security+. It is aimed at network engineers and/or administrators that want to gain more credibility in order to achieve better employability and higher pay

The exam covers, among others, installation and configuration of servers, configuration of server roles and features as well as Hyper-V, deployment and configuration of core network services, install and administration of AD, and lastly but not least the creation and management of Group Policy.
